On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act. The law puts in place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will roll out over the next four years, with the most important changes taking place by 2014. Every state in the nation will have to establish a Health Insurance Exchange by January 1st, 2014

It is important to note that starting in 2014, all members of Congress will be required to get their health care insurance through the Exchanges as well.
